Since 1940, American Tank has provided fabricated steel products to OEMs and service repair customers, both large and small, in a variety of construction markets. Whether prototypes or large production runs, we have the flexibility to meet every engineering and production need. Components from AT&F have added value and are backed by our unique and extensive single source capabilities.
Much has changed since 1940, but at The American Tank & Fabricating Company, one thing is constant: our commitment to quality and service. Through continuous innovation in design, workmanship, and facilities, we have become a leader in the steel plate fabricating and steel service center industries.
AT&F Co. experienced early success under the direction of our founder, John J. Ripich. In recognition of superior work, the company was awarded one of the first certification stamps from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). During World War II, we developed AmeraMag, a high tensile steel that could withstand extreme temperatures without breakdown. In the years that followed, this patented steel formed the basis for one of our innovative products, a melting crucible serving the needs of the magnesium industry. Building on our capabilities in welding and metallurgy, we grew steadily as a company.
Today's component parts, fabricated vessels, and other steel and alloy products require greater knowledge and attention to detail. The thickness and variety of materials we process have increased greatly, and so has our technology. Precise manufacturing methods and wide-ranging abilities go into the fabrications, formed parts, and burnouts we manufacture every day. And while our equipment capacity is state-of-art and among the largest in the industry, we consider our dedicated people our greatest asset.
An excellent reputation with a focus on our customers has helped us grow through the decades. The 21st century holds new challenges. We understand we will have to continually improve to become even better at what we do to serve our customers. It is a challenge we accept and our opportunity to "fabricate the future."
