Level III VT/MT/PT/RT/UT Manager
Primary Function:
Level III responsible for all aspects of Managing the NDE/NDT Department.
Responsibilities:
- Train, Mentor Technicians
- Perform Surveillance and Audits on Technicians and department
- Train and Certification of Level I and Level II Techs
- Develop, Qualify, Approve and maintain written test procedures
- Interpret Codes and standards
- Supervise and schedule department
- Maintain equipment, maintenance, and supplies for department
- Interface with Team mangers and shop personnel to achieve mutual goals
- Interface with Weld Engineering Dept., Project Mangers and Customers
- Maintain Qualification records for all NDTPersonnel
Qualifications:
- BA degree in NDE or Engineering
- Certification or capable of Certification as ASNT Levell III
- 5 to 10 years minimum experience in a Manufacturing environment (preferably heavy Fabrication)
- Performing and/or managing NDT
- Prefer qualified for Level III certification in VT/MT/PT/RT/UT
- Minimum Level III RT and UT with Level II requirements to gain Level III status in VT/MT/PT
- Supervisory experience preferably in the NDE Industry or other Heavy Industrial Fabrication
Specific Skills:
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Excell, Acess, Word, and Outlook
- Strong Blue Print reading skills
- Good understanding of Welding Joint designs and Processes
- Strong Supervisory skills
- Possess excellent Communication and Decision making skill
