AT&F India, headquartered in Mumbai, India, expands our commitment to
bringing our technology and manufacturing services, as well as our operational
excellence, to emerging markets.
In 2010, AT&F established AT&F India to satisfy the growing need for world-class fabrications in support of large-scale infrastructure projects. Our project experience in India includes the construction of new power facilities, shipbuilding, and other naval port work. Our goal is to become the premier shipbuilder catering to the small and medium shipbuilding industry. We offer turnkey construction of barges, tugs, oil tankers, offshore support vessels (OSVs) and dredgers as well as ship repair and maintenance.
AT&F India’s 90,000 square foot (8,400 square meter) facility in Chakan, Maharashtra features 20-ton lifting capacity and state-of-the-art steel processing equipment to fabricate and assemble components and equipment to serve OEMs in the construction, transportation, mining and building industries. Similar to AT&F manufacturing operations in the U.S., this facility houses large capacity equipment that pushes the limits of size, scope, and precision.
In an attempt to diversify product offerings in the military vehicle market, in 2009 AT&F purchased 49% of a Danish company, Composhield A/S. Composhield specializes in providing lightweight composite armor protection for military vehicles in NATO-friendly countries. AT&F has extensive experience in fabricating armor solutions for vehicle manufacturers in the United States.
Composhield designs and manufactures survivability components for OEMs, Tier I and Tier II partners. The focus is the design and manufacturing of armor materials for vehicle platforms to protect against blast, ballistic and other hostile actions. Protection can be offered against high and low caliber ballistic weapons as well as Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and mine and blast threats.
