Renewable Energy
Renewable energy, often referred to as clean energy, comes from natural resources or processes that are constantly replenished. Some types of renewable energy sources are:
- Solar Energy
- Wind Energy
- Hydroelectric Energy
- Biomass Energy
- Geothermal Energy
- Tidal and Wave Energy
AT&F has partnered with leading companies in the energy industry for many years, providing critical fabrications and systems to help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. “AT&F has been providing fabricating solutions to support clean renewable energy for several decades. Whether it is wind, water, solar, cellulosic ethanol, plastic waste to energy, and others, AT&F has played an important role in all these sectors. Our large precision fabricating equipment coupled with 80 years of experience and a passion for quality, make us an ideal partner. This is some of the most rewarding work we do at AT&F and our team is proud to have developed industry partners in this critical space. It is nice to know that we are making important contributions to this energy renaissance.” Some of those critical fabrications and systems AT&F can provide are:
- Components for wind turbines and wind towers
- Processing equipment for biomass production
- Heat Exchangers or Condensers for geothermal energy
- Specialized piping and turbines for hydroelectric power
- Custom tubing and frame fabrication for solar panels installation
- Heavy duty fabrications for wave energy converters
Along with renewables, nuclear energy and waste-to-energy are an important part of the overall strategy in the clean energy revolution and circular economy.
Waste to Energy (WTE)
Over the past decade, Waste-to-Energy (WTE) has come to the forefront and AT&F has been there to help leading companies achieve commercial viability. These companies have come to AT&F because of our unique skill set designing and fabricating custom reactor vessels that play a key role in the pyrolysis process of converting plastic to fuel. Our willingness to collaborate, share information, and show the utmost flexibility has drawn customers to AT&F, considering the long-term nature of these projects. Please don’t hesitate to contact AT&F Advanced Metals with questions about your Waste-to-Energy project.
Nuclear Energy
AT&F has long supported critical nuclear operations and will continue to do so even as nuclear power begins to fade. We will be here to help the aging nuclear fleet of plants; along with research laboratories and universities, with specialized fabrications. Our proven experience in the nuclear industry will ensure a quality and safe product is manufactured in a timely fashion
Circular Economy
AT&F believes in and has been a part of the circular economy long before it became the new buzzword. The circular economy is based on the never-ending cycle of manufacturing to consumption and use to recycling…and back again. The key concepts that provide society-wide benefits are:
- Design out waste and pollution
- Keep products and materials in use
- Regenerate natural systems
Specifically, during the manufacturing portion, AT&F provides value by designing and fabricating out waste and pollution. A good example is our work in the Marine Scrubber industry. We have assisted the industry in achieving IMO 2020 sulfur regulation standard because our expertise in design and fabrication of special metals. This effort will ultimately help cap global sulfur emissions of 0.5% on marine fuel.
